COMPANY LEAVE POLICY & GUIDELINES
1. PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE
The objective of this policy is to establish clear guidelines regarding the types of leave available to full-time employees, the accrual mechanism, application procedures, and encashment terms.
2. LEAVE CATEGORIES & ENTITLEMENTS
2.1 Casual Leave (CL): 8 Days per calendar year. Intended for urgent personal affairs. Maximum 2 consecutive days permitted per instance.
2.2 Sick / Medical Leave (SL): 7 Days per calendar year. Medical certificate required for absence exceeding 2 consecutive working days.
2.3 Privileged / Earned Leave (PL/EL): 15 Days per calendar year, accrued at the rate of 1.25 days per completed month of active service.
2.4 Maternity Leave: 26 Weeks of paid leave for female employees in accordance with the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017.
2.5 Paternity Leave: 5 Working days of paid leave to be availed within 3 months of child delivery.
3. ACCRUAL & CARRY FORWARD RULES
- CL and SL cannot be carried forward to the subsequent calendar year and shall lapse on December 31st.
- A maximum of 30 days of unavailed Privileged Leave (PL) can be accumulated and carried forward into the next calendar year.
- Excess accumulated PL beyond 30 days may be eligible for annual encashment based on Basic Salary.
4. LEAVE APPLICATION & APPROVAL PROCESS
- All leave requests must be submitted through the Kirxa Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal.
- Planned leaves exceeding 3 days require at least 7 calendar days advance notification to the reporting manager.
- Managers must review and approve or reject leave requests within 48 hours of submission.
